Effective and gentle tattoo removal with modern laser technology
Tattoos can be removed using modern laser treatment. There are many reasons to have a tattoo removed: tastes have changed, the tattoo is no longer modern enough, it has already faded, or a partial removal is required for a cover-up.

Our dermatology and laser center has the most modern pico laser with maximum power and the shortest pulses. This allows tattoos to be removed with less pain in significantly fewer sessions. The treatment time of each session is also drastically reduced. Active cooling during the session further reduces any discomfort that may be present. It is also possible to remove colored tattoos in addition to black tattoos. The pico laser is also able to treat blue, brown, red, green but also purple, yellow or orange tattoos. Our pico laser can produce laser beams with a pulse duration of less than 300 picoseconds. The tattoo is broken down into much smaller particles than with a ruby laser or nanolaser. This enables the color particles to be broken down more quickly and thus a gentler treatment. In addition to the pico laser (PicoStar), we use a ruby laser (TattooStar), which can be used specifically to treat darker tattoos.
FAQ
A ruby laser and a pico laser are available to us as tattoo lasers. With 2.7 GW, a pulse duration of 300 picoseconds and a spot size of 16mm, our pico laser is currently the most powerful pico and tattoo laser that has been developed. This enables laser treatment to be carried out faster and more painlessly, while significantly fewer sessions are required. All colors can also be treated in this way. Our ruby laser is only suitable for dark tattoos and is a more cost-effective alternative.
The perception of pain depends primarily on the location of the tattoo. In general, the perception of pain can be significantly reduced with a numbing cream containing lidocaine and cold air. Because the pulse duration is so short by using the pico laser and so the photothermal effect is less, the pain with the pico laser is minimized.
The color pigments are broken up into many small fragments through the tattoo lasers. The tattoo will become paler and paler from session to session. How many sessions are ultimately necessary depends on many factors. This mainly includes the composition of the color pigments, the depth and type of tattoo and the body’s immune system.
