Gentle eyelid tightening and wrinkle treatment without surgery

The area around the eyes is the first sign of aging just after the age of 30 and especially after strong sun exposure. In the Dermatology and Laser Center, the upper and lower eyelids can be tightened without surgery and wrinkles can be successfully treated using modern fractional laser therapy. The slack connective tissue is replaced with new elastic tissue and new collagen formation is stimulated, which again leads to a tight skin.

FAQ

The ideal laser for eyelid tightening is the fractional CO2 laser. The CO2 laser can be used to achieve optimal and fastest effects in reducing wrinkles and tightening the upper and lower eyelids. The healing time here is around 2 weeks, during which redness and small scabs can be seen.

Alternatively, we can use the fractional Pico laser. Wrinkle reduction is gentler here, but requires multiple sessions. As a result, the downtime is only a few days.

Alternatively, very good results can be achieved with upper and lower eyelid lifts using a radio frequency microneedling device (Morpheus8). A wrinkle treatment with the Morpheus8 is also very effective.

The effect of the treatment is already visible after one session. An ideal result can be achieved after about three sessions. The interval between sessions is at least 8 weeks.

A numbing cream containing lidocaine is applied before the treatment. During the laser treatment, the skin is cooled with cold air. Pain is therefore not to be expected during and after the treatment.

Reddening of the eyelids is to be expected immediately after the treatment, which disappears very quickly when using the fractionated pico laser or the Morpheus8. When using the CO2 laser, the redness lasts for one to two weeks; the small scabs disappear after about a week.

A calming cream is applied for a few days after the treatment. Sun protection is also essential.
