With the use of photodynamic therapy, cells and precursors of white skin cancer can be combated very effectively. No other cancer occurs as frequently in Germany as white skin cancer. The cause of this is sun damage, which has accumulated over the course of life. A cream containing a so-called “photosensitizer” is applied to the damaged skin. Exposure to our lamps activates this special active ingredient and destroys the tumor cells. This is a highly effective way of fighting skin cancer without damaging healthy skin. In combination with the fractional CO2 laser, this treatment is even more effective.

Private health insurance companies cover the costs of this treatment. If it is an occupational disease, the responsible Berufsgenossenschaft will also cover the costs for the PDT.
